Some common queries on our Mail Archiving service.

Q: Data Location: In which country (or countries) are the backup servers physically located?
A: In our case as DropSuite partners all our data is stored on AWS servers in Dublin.

Q: GDPR Compliance: Do you provide a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) for clients, confirming your role as a Data Processor under GDPR?
A: Please visit https://trust.dropsuite.com/ to view compliance certification.

Q: Encryption: I see that data is encrypted with TLS/SSL in transit and AES-256 at rest. Could you confirm this applies to all stored emails?
A: Yes, all stored email are encrypted with AES-256 at rest, and use TLS/SSL connections.

Q: Restoration: If I need to restore archived emails from, for example, 5–7 years ago, how is that done, and how quickly can I access them?
A: Please see the linked KBs on how to restore emails and retention policy, you should be able to access/view the data within Dropsuite immediately (once backed up) but due to the many variables present when completing restores there is not a real way for us to give an estimate on restores.
