What is a VPS?

VPS stands for Virtual Private Server, and thats literally what it is , your very own private server.

What is Virtuozzo?

Virtuozzo is a product developed by Parallels (formerly Sw-Soft) that creates multiple isolated virtual servers or containers on a single physical dedicated server.

So what does this actually mean for me?

Well it means good news for customers looking for an affordable alternative to a dedicated server. Customers can install and run their own applications for example Tomcat, Java, Ruby On Rails (RoR) or Windows applications without paying out costly dedicated server charges.

Do you guys offer VPS Hosting?

Yes, we have been offering Virtuozzo powered VPS hosting for over 10 years now and during this time we have grown our expertise and knowledge. Why ? Because we have been offering the same product, Virtuozzo all that time. We have grown our knowledge as the product has grown, we have even helped to shape it with suggestions and features we have passed onto the developers.

What control do I get over my VPS?

You get complete control over your private server in the form Virtuozzo control panel (Power Panel) and full shell (ssh) access. You can also choose to install PLESK if you dont want to get your hands dirty with command line access.

But isnt all VPS hosting the same?

No.Be careful of VPS solutions which are incorrectly configured or under-powered. Can you imagine Windows Server running on 128MB of RAM on a 255mhz CPU? Thats what you could be paying for.

What do I need to look out for?

Make sure your VPS hosting provider offers guaranteed RAM levels and CPU weight on their VPS packages. Make sure they also provide some form of data backup. Sure, it may cost a few extra euro per month, but you get what you pay for.

We will be adding more information to our site over the coming weeks (we need to keep up with the neighbours) and also some special offers so keep checking back.
