How do I transfer ownership of a .IE domain Print

It is possible to change the domain name holder of your .ie domain if you wish.  To process the transfer to you will need to submit the following information to the IEDR : https://www.iedr.ie/contact-us/

1. A signed document on headed paper from the current Administrative Contact (domain holder). This letter must state that they authorise the cancellation of the domain name in order to reassign the domain to the future domain owner.

2. Information from the future domain owner showing their claim on the proposed name as per the IEDR’s registration policies. Please refer to https://www.iedr.ie/register-a-domain/document-requirements/

3. The future owner must also provide their contact details to be updated as the Administrative Contact.

The above steps should completed at the same time. This will avoid the possibility of the domain being cancelled. The IEDR must ensure that the future domain owner has supplied all necessary requirements for registration to transfer the domain.
