What is the Cloud?

The Cloud is a friendly way of describing web-based computing services that are delivered to an organization's computers and devices through an internet connection.

When you use cloud based services, your IT infrastructure resides off premisis, and is maintained by a third party (hosted), instead of on a server at your home or business (on-premesis) For example your organisations email , website, file storage , book-keeping software might be located and managed remotely on infrastructure owned by your hosting providor (Myhost) which you then access through an internet connection.

Because this infrastructure is located online or in the cloud, you can access it virtually anywhere on multiple devices.
